I'm atleast planning on making an indie game inspired by some Megaman stuff would it be alright to use these sprites in it, another way to put it is do you think these are to similar to megaman that I shouldn't use it in my game for fear of legal reprocussions
Should be no issue. Only thing I used were some of the palette colors of OG MMX 1-3.

Can you please add in the your description text what copyright these two images have (cc0, CC3 by)? I added this site to my GameMaker community tab, so I need to be sure I promoted "clean" content. Once again, thanks for sharing.
I only used the palette of MMX to construct these. These are cc0.
