Custom Megaman X enemy assets

I would like you ask you somethin, I would like to one day have a megaman x style indiegame made would I need to get a copyright for it, and would this change depending wether if its just me or a company

I'm atleast planning on making an indie game inspired by some Megaman stuff would it be alright to use these sprites in it, another way to put it is do you think these are to similar to megaman that I shouldn't use it in my game for fear of legal reprocussions
